Description

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, orcomputer-generated reports
  • Oversee the set-up and functioning / maintenance of all automatedequipment and machineries like Set-up cold-end auto inspection equipment suchas Tiama MX4, M-Cal, Plug and Dud detector, etc. Document all baseline reading, settings,positions and store for future reference
  • Analyze reject data to verify/ determine if the inspection equipmentis set-up as per production specifications and are isolating defective bottlesonly and minimize the loss of good ware due to faulty equipment set-up.
  • Analyze data from Quality department on cold-end coating system (AP-5 system) and make adjustment to the equipment as needed in alignment withQuality standards
  • Test and challenge existing equipment to ensure that all equipment isproperly calibrated and highlight areas for improvement
  • Repairs, installs, replaces and tests circuits, equipment using handtools and testing instruments to ensure proper functioning of the equipment forsmooth operation of the Plant
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions to identify problems in mechanical partssuch as hydraulics/pneumatics, gear box, conveyors, tooling fixtures, etc. Replaces such defective mechanical parts asgears, bushings and bearings and such related electrical parts according todiagrams, if needed.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment bycompleting preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatictools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Research new equipment / machineries and recommend alternativeengineering solutions to management to meet business needs
  • Develop clear understanding of new automated equipment intendedfunction, communicate/train technicians on set-ups and maintenance
  • Participates in the final check-out of new installations inadherence to functional specifications and ensure that condition anddocumentation preservation is performed. Participate in system functional performance testing
  • Carry outReliability Centered Maintenance methods (development of Work Instructions,support Techs for continuous improvement of equipment performance)
  • Review thelogs of various machines in the plant to focus on improving machine uptime& meeting cost goals. Controlsdowntime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenancetechniques; monitoring compliance
  • Create and implementa checklist for all equipment to ensure all inspections are done on a periodicbasis
  • Analyze maintenance logsand derive trends for determining the periodicity and reason for break-downsand carry our root cause analysis (RCA) of breakdowns and devise preventive andcorrective action (CAPA)
  • Qualifications

    Desired Qualifications

    Associate Degree with 8+ years or Graduate Degree with 4+ years or Masters with 2+ years in mechanical field

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Sound Mechanical knowledge

    Basic knowledge of PLC functioning and PLC troubleshooting

    Essential Skills: Have worked in manufacturing industry having hands on experience in calibration or maintenance of automated production lines.

    Job Conditions

    Will be in Cold end tech service department and be trained for general automation related to packing automation and automatic inspection
