Responsibilities and Qualifications
Works in conjunction with the Manager of the Diagnostic Cardiology Department in the planning, organizing and coordination of the Diagnostic Cardiology Department. Responsible for maintaining IAC accreditation and performance improvement activities. Coordinates work flow in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors departmental productivity and adjusts staffing on a daily basis. Assists in department operational support tasks or duties. Supports the continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure Mercy's goal of excellence in clinical outcomes and satisfaction for those whom we serve. Demonstrates fairness, integrity, and compassion in all interactions with patients, visitors and coworkers and respects the confidential information to which he/she may have access. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and Mercy Service Standards.

* Minimum of two years recent cardiac sonographer work experience * Graduate of an accredited program * ARDMS or RDCS required; RVT desired * BLS/CPR required * Excellent communication skills needed as well as patient empathy * Call required
