QuantiGene Sales Specialist
As a QuantiGene Sales Specialist, you will achieve success by managing, in concert with eBioscience Account Managers, sales of QuantiGene products across a predefined territory on the West coast. You willpromote and sellQuantiGene business in a multitudeof accounts which have historically generated significant revenue, have the potential to generate significant revenue or are strategic in nature. As part of this process you will drive the technical portion of the sales process, develop sales strategies, and actively contribute to the successful closing of business. Primary sales targets are researchers and translational scientists in academia, pharma and biotech, government, and medical center settings. Assisting in training and sales support for account managers, delivering technical presentations on relevant products to potential and current customers, and participating in cultivation and development of regional key opinion leaders (KOLs) is key to your success. In addition, you will collaborate with KOLs to strengthen Thermo Fisher Scientifics relationships and influence. Responsible for contributing to budget process, sales forecasts, regional business plans, and in providing market intelligencefeedback.
Education: Bachelors in a Life Sciences discipline
Yrs of related experience: > 5 years technical sales experience with platform sales with demonstrable success and pharma /biotech established network/contacts.
Competencies: (skills, knowledge, abilities) Results oriented, self-starter with superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills, excellent sales skills including listening, negotiating, closing, proven ability to manage a sales territory, excellent organizational skills.
Travel Requirements: 50% or more overnight travel
Geographic Location: Greater San Francisco Bay Area
Working Conditions: Field based
Education: Advanced degree in a Life Science discipline; MBA or business training
Yrs of related experience: > 8 years technical sales experience in platform sales with demonstrable success; strong pharma/biotech rolodex. > 2 years working in a life science laboratory.
